It can seem challenging to find fun, family-friendly events that everyone will love. After all, everyone in your family may have unique interests. In addition, you may have already experienced some of the popular attractions in Edmonton, and you may be looking for something new and exciting to do. The good news is that there are several great events that are scheduled for April 2015 in the local area. Consider adding some of these to your family's schedule for April.
The World of Boo
The World of Boo has been an on-going event in Edmonton since July, and it will conclude on April 16, 2015. This means that April is your last month to enjoy this fun event at the Art Gallery of Alberta. This exhibit makes learning fun for kids as the character Boo explores different scenes and shares new stories in an educational way. This is a hands-on event that encourages kids to learn creatively.
City Market Downtown
The City Market Downtown is open every Saturday from October through May. This event is located inside City Hall during the winter months, and on 104 Street downtown starting in mid-May. Kids and parents alike can sample fare, browse through vendor booths and select great treats to take home. This is a fun way to get your shopping down in a unique way.
Stars and Strollers Movies
On select weekdays, you can take your younger kids and babies to the Cineplex Odeon North Edmonton, South Edmonton or ScotiaBank Theater (at West Edmonton Mall) for family-friendly showings of popular movies. The Stars and Strollers Movies event is ideal for those who are home with younger kids during the week, and the theaters feature dimmed lighting and lowered volume so that kids find the experience more enjoyable. You can learn more about the two movie choices planned for each week in April to make your plans.
You can easily keep your kids engaged in fun, educational and creative ways by including some of these fabulous events in your family calendar for April. With these and other events planned throughout the city in April, you will have an easy time finding activities and events that everyone in your family can enjoy together.Posted by Sarah MacDonald on
