Open Year Round: The Sherwood Park Farmer's Market

The action at this farmer's market goes down on Wednesdays from 5PM-8PM at the Community Centre in Sherwood Park. It hosts about 70 vendors who sell everything from bread and meats to produce and anything else you could need to create an amazingly healthy and wholesome meal. The market is committed to upholding the philosophy of "You Make It, You Bake It, You Grow It, You Sell It." This means that when you come to the market, you're certain to meet and talk to the people who actually made the products you're purchasing. All the food is seasonal and the experience is truly authentic. Rain or shine, head down to the Community Centre at 401 Festival Lane and get yourself some goodies to take home.

Farmer's markets are a wonderful part of Canadian culture, and living in Alberta we're lucky to have so much fresh produce so readily available due to the importance of agriculture in our economy and culture. These well known farmer's markets in the Sherwood Park area are exceptional places to get your fresh groceries and any other crafts you may need. Meet the producers and know exactly what's going into your food. At the same time you'll be supporting local families and industry. No matter what time of year you find yourself in, there's always a farmer's market for you!
