Virginia Park was one of many areas subdivided during the land boom prior to World War I - but it developed slowly, even though the Highlands streetcar line passed through the neighbourhood. Most of the homes were built before 1950. The neighbourhood contains two prominent landmarks, Concordia College and Borden Park, and the river valley is accessible directly to the south. The beautiful Ada Boulevard runs along the southern border of Virginia Park with incredible views of the river valley.
