Community Resources and Recreation
The community holds a number of events throughout the year, but one of the biggest annual celebrations for residents is Winter Family Fun Day, which is typically held each February. The event is a local get-together at Picard Park that features all sorts of fun things to do for residents both young and old, including skating, snowshoeing, snowman-making contests, sleigh rides, and marshmallow roasting. It's the perfect opportunity for residents to come out together and embrace all that the Canadian winter has to offer before spring finally returns.
Local Access And Public Transportation
The community of Lewis Estates property in Edmonton is ideally situated near three major roadways, including two highways. These include Stony Plain Road to its north, Whitemud Drive to its south, and Anthony Henday to the east.
If you'd rather take public transportation, Lewis Estates is currently serviced by one primary bus line to transport residents between the community and the main city centre, but a new LRT line is under construction that will soon connect Lewis Estates to the rest of the city.
Education Near Lewis Estates

A new Junior High School is planned to open in Lewis Estates in 2016. The nearby Winterburn Elementary and Jasper Place High School are the two primary institutions that many of the area children attend
Winterburn Elementary is a school of around 549 kids that focuses primarily on the individuality of each of their students so that every one of them may experience success. Jasper Place High School is the largest school in the city with around 2400 students. It's known for a variety of programs and courses designed to provide students with all the tools they need to achieve their goals.
