One of Edmonton’s newer communities, Albany was founded and created in 2009 as part of The Palisades Area Structure Plan. It is located at the very western border of the city limits at Anthony Henday Dr. and is bounded by 127 St SW on the eastern side and 167 Ave NW along the southern side. Albany real estate encompasses is the very definition of a burgeoning community, with further development planned as the years go on. Residents will have plenty of green space and a naturalized water pond.

Schools Close to Albany

The closest school to Albany real estate is in the public system and is located just south in Carlton. Elizabeth Finch School is an elementary and junior high mix offering standard courses for grades K through 9. The other two elementary options are both found in Dunluce, one is public and one is separate.

Dunluce School is a K-6 primary with a French Immersion program and St. Lucy is a Catholic primary school that also offers classes for students in Kindergarten through to grade 6. There is one more school just outside of Albany, the Kennedale School operates out of the Edmonton Young Offenders Centre and provides middle and secondary school education to the people within.

The main transportation hub for residents of Albany real estate is along the intersection of 123 St and 167 Ave where the number 155 bus runs along through the community and then back out to the east.
