North West Edmonton

Athlone, Edmonton

The residential community of Athlone has a nice mixture of schools, shops and industry while managing to maintain the quiet residential aspects that locals have come to know and love. The western portion of the neighbourhood is also called Dunvegan, after the Dunvegan Yards railway depot that once existed in the area. The bordering neighbourhoods include Wellington, Calder and Sherbrooke. A new development called Bellwether Park has added a variety of newer housing options to the community.
