South East Edmonton

Jackson Heights, Edmonton

In 1976 the community of Jackson Heights was given its name for Annie May Jackson, the first female police officer in the history of Canada. She made waves when her photo appeared on the London Daily Mirror’s first page and her fame followed her through her time in Edmonton. This triangular neighbourhood is bordered by Kiniski Gardens to the south, Larkspur to the east and Greenview to the west and is a nice mixture of residential and commercial.
