This is a new community in South West Edmonton. Ambleside is on the south of Anthony Henday Drive, and east of 170 Street. Ambleside Homes, Shops and Services

The focal point of the community around Ambleside real estate is the Currents of Windermere, a massive shopping and entertainment complex that provides many shops, services and restaurants to the locals and brings in a lot of traffic from surrounding neighbourhoods.

Slightly to the south of Ambleside homes is the local park, with playground facilities for children of the neighbourhood. The Southwest Division Station Windermere, the area’s police station, is also in the area and on the opposite side of town is an official Eco Station Reuse Area. The 24 is the only bus serving the community, but it travels up and through the Currents shopping district and then out to the Century Park LRT station, making it easy for residents to travel into Downtown or further north.

About Ambleside, Edmonton Schools

Although there are no schools here yet, there are plenty of schools in close proximity, and there is a new elementary school set to open in 2016 in Ambleside. Edmonton students living in this area, who are in their secondary years, can attend the closest high schools of Lillian Osborne School and Mother Margaret Mary. These schools are in the community of Leger just to the north. Lillian Osborne is public with classes for grades 10-12 and Mother Margaret Mary is Catholic with classes for grades 7-12.
