This is a pedestrian friendly community in West Edmonton with shopping, recreation and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Primarily composed of condominiums, it has a small percentage of single family dwellings that are mostly bungalows. Located in the centre of Callingwood homes for sale is an urban forest with an off leash dog park, a skateboard park, spray park, the Lois Hole library, the Jamie Platz YMCA, arenas, baseball diamonds and Oscar Romero Catholic high school.

The Features Of Callingwood Homes For Sale

This west end community is primarily a condominium hotbed. Most Callingwood homes for sale were developed in the mid-70s to mid-80s, but there are some newer developments as well. Well-known complexes include Lexington Greens with its spacious grounds iron fencing and attached garages, and Suder Greens right across from the YMCA. Callingwood Edmonton real estate also includes townhome complexes like Woodstock and Callingwood Court.

The area is actually comprised of "Callingwood North" and "Callingwood South" in the Association's MLS® system database, but most people just refer to it as Callingwood. Edmonton homes here offer easy access to river valley trails and bridges, only a five to ten-minute bike ride away depending on where you are located in the neighbourhood.

You can walk to the local shopping center for groceries at Safeway and the farmers market on the weekends is a major draw. From this area, it's approximately a 15-20 minute drive to downtown Edmonton. Its northern border is Whitemud Drive and it is bordered by 178 street to the east and 170 street to the west.
